Join Graham and Cathy Finlayson on their 9,300 ha cattle property for a first-hand look at how they've transitioned a degraded landscape to a productive, resilient operation, effectively doubling their carrying capacity.

Since acquiring the property in 1999, the Finlaysons have transformed severely degraded claypan country into a thriving landscape using regenerative grazing, planned rest, and large-scale water and fencing infrastructure.

Operating in a low-rainfall zone (~380 mm annually), they’ve built a business that matches ecological function with enterprise flexibility.

Known for their practical leadership and willingness to share hard-earned insights, Graham and Cathy are recognised as innovators in rangeland management and champions of landscape-scale regeneration.

The Finlaysons are long-term MaiaGrazing customers, and have now commenced a soil carbon project with Atlas Carbon, registered with the Clean Energy Regulator in 2025. At the Field Day, they will share insights from their soil carbon journey so far, including how this project is shaping the next chapter for Bokhara Plains — both practically and strategically.
